3 Manila Cops Scolded After Caught Sleeping While on Duty
Three Manila Police District (MPD) cops were scolded by Director PBGen Andre Dizon after being caught sleeping while on duty.
the MPD Director reprimanded and transferred the three sleeping officers to a new location following their discovery of soundly dozing off while on duty. Around four in the morning, Dizon approached the Lawton Police Community Precinct, which is serviced by Ermita Police Station 5. He was shocked by what he saw.
Based on the report, Dizon was met with a policeman who was sitting and sound asleep at the station’s entrance. Two more employees were dozing off when he entered the station.
Even though the cameras of the media representatives who were present for Dizon’s inspection were trained on the three officers, they did not even stir. The staff was awakened by Dizon himself, who then preached to them as they were cleaning up.
However, Dizon wished to grant the three employees a second chance rather than dismiss them immediately due to administrative charges. They were moved to the Delpan Police Station instead.
Dizon told the staff once more that they shouldn’t fall asleep while on duty because they might at any moment want assistance from the general public. If you’re feeling very sleepy, you can take a nap, but there should be more individuals awake in a station than are asleep.
