International singer Jake Zyrus allegedly rejected by Canadian musician David Foster after attempt to ask help, says Cristy Fermin.
Jake Zyrus, formerly known as Charice Pempengco, was discussed by Cristy Fermin and her colleagues Romel Chika and Morly Alinio on an episode of their entertainment vlog “Showbiz Now Na.” David Foster apparently rejected the singer once more, per Cristy.
Jake supposedly got in touch with the singer from abroad so that they might work on a project once more when he was residing in America. When Jake was still Charice, the three were heartbroken by what happened to his international singing career.
If it used to have jobs and projects galore, it appears that it no longer has a reliable source of income in the US. The entertainment columnist went on to say that Jake is rumored to be relocating.
Because Jake doesn’t seem to know how to get along, especially with the housekeepers he is staying with, it appears that no one wants to protect him. Jake tried to approach David Foster, who had previously performed with him on international stages, but the manager, composer, and record producer turned him down.
“Nag-try pala na lumapit ulit kay David. Tinanggihan siya. Kasi nagkaroon pala ng argumento noon si Charice at ang mga namamahala ng kaniyang karera sa Amerika. Na siguro ipinagtapat niya na talagang iba, may gusto ako na parang ayaw ng iba,” Cristy revealed in her show.
“Parang ganun. Siguro siya ay pinayuhan na ‘No, stick to what you are’. ikaw man ay merong ibang nararamdaman at ikaw ay isang tibo, itago mo. Ang dami-daming tibong singer sa buong mundo na nagtagumpay,” she added.
When TV talk show star Oprah Winfrey called him in 2008 and asked if he could produce a song for the Filipino singer, the Canadian artist learned about Jake. Jake benefited from David’s mentoring, and Jake was invited to Jake Foster’s memorial show, “Hitman: David Foster and Friends.”
Michael Buble, Josh Groban, Brian McKnight, and Celine Dion were among the performers at the event. You may recall that Cristy also said that Jake got wasted and vanished in the US because he couldn’t accept that he was no longer working.
