Vhong Navarro is still fighting to be released from detention
The camp of Kapamilya star Vhong Navarro is wishing that he will be released soon to be with his family during the holidays.
Vhong has been detained since September. He filed a petition to post bail since the warrant of arrest for the rape case against him, filed by model Deniece Cornejo, had no recommended bail. Because of that, he was detained at the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).
Deniece’s camp wants Vhong to be detained at Taguig City Jail and this is something that the latter’s camp fears.
In a recent Showbiz Now Na episode of veteran showbiz writer Cristy Fermin, based on the article in Bandera, she mentioned that friends of Vhong Navarro are asking what sin he had committed to deserve this kind of problem in his life now.
She also said that the petition that Vhong filed to post bail has occupied a long period of time and for her, this is just like “justice denied” as it is being delayed.
Cristy’s co-host Romel Chika hopes that this coming Christmas, something good will happen to Vhong. The veteran showbiz writer said that this is what Vhong’s legal counsel Atty. Alma Mallonga is also hoping.
It was also mentioned in the said YouTube showbiz talk show that the It’s Showtime host has no plan of running away from his legal responsibilities.
