Matteo Guidicelli Airs Dismay to “Dog Meat Trade” in the Philippines

Actor and Presidential Security Guard (PSG) Matteo Guidicelli strongly condemned the illegal “dog meat trade” in the Philippines.

Matteo Guidicelli and Sarah Geronimo, a famous couple, recently had the chance to visit the Animal Kingdom Foundation (AKF) in Capas, Tarlac. Matteo bemoaned the continued illegal trade in dog meat in the nation on his Instagram account.

In Matteo’s Instagram post, he said, “We visited @akfanimalrescue and found out that the ‘dog meat trade’, in the Philippines still happens in some parts of the country. We listened to all the heartbreaking rescue stories.

“Thanks to the volunteers of the @akfanimalrescue (and) they have over 200 beautiful dogs up for adoption. Check them out,” said Matteo.

The Animal Kingdom Foundation, also known as the AKF, is a non-profit animal welfare non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to enhancing the living and welfare conditions of animals in the nation. The organization also aimed to end the cruel trade in dog meat for consumption, according to the official website.

It may be recalled that Matteo and Sarah were said to enjoy caring for animals, particularly dogs, before to their marriage. Theodore, Dakota, and 04 are the names of the couple’s three canines right now.

In the meantime, completes the Very Important Person Protection Course (VIPPC) from the Philippine Army last month, becoming a top graduate and the nation’s first celebrity reserve.
