The Facebook page 5E Welding shop has shared photos of various types of jeep-sikel earned instant popularity and received massive demand from customers. The post earned various reactions from the online community.
In the photos, it can be seen that a humble tricycle has been turned into a combination of a jeepney and a tricycle. The trike has the appearance of jeepney but it still uses a motorcycle and can contain the same amount of passengers.
The siblings from Rizal introduced the so-called “jeep-sikel”, a tricycle with the appearance of a jeepney. The welding shop owner named Eric is a former employee who works as a welder at a big company wherein he learned how to weld vehicles.
Because of being frugal, Eric was able to save a certain amount of cash and builds his own shop. He came up with the idea to combine tricycles and public jeepneys to attract more customers.
The jeep-sikel earns instant popularity after it sits well with the commuters. Eric together with his siblings worked together to produce the new-breed vehicle after receiving a huge demand for production.
