Authorities Found Body of Missing Woman Inside Stomach of Giant Python
The body of a 52-year-old missing woman has been found inside a giant python in Indonesia’s Jambi province.
The family of the rubber tapper identified as Jahrah filed a missing complaint after the woman did not return from work. The lady had gone missing last week on her way to work at a rubber plantation.
The police authorities launched a search operation in response to the family’s complaint. One of the search parties found a python with a large stomach. The residents suspected that the 16-feet-long snake swallowed a human.
The victim’s husband reported her missing that evening after she did not return from word. Jahrah’s belongings including her sandals, headscarf, jacket, and work tools have been found near the plantation.
The locals opened the python’s body and found the missing woman’s body inside the stomach. The victim’s body appeared to be largely intact when the authorities found it, Betara Jambi police chief AKP S Harefa said.
“After we caught him, we found the victim’s body in the snake’s stomach,” Harefa said.
Pythons usually wrapped their bodies to suffocate their prey but it was rare to find them victimizing humans.
However, it was not the first time that python killed and eat someone in Indonesia. In 2018, a 54-year-old woman has been found inside the belly of a 7-meter-long python.
