On October 25, the vlogger chef shared a video showing his preparation for the food he will cook for PDLs until he and his team packed what they prepared and brought them to San Juan City Jail Male Dormitory.

Ninong Ry shared that he got invited by model/DJ Karen Bordador who he worked with on PIE Channel before. “Nilapitan niya ako kung kung gusto ko daw bang magluto dito. Sabi ko, ‘oo naman,'” the vlogger chef said, adding that this is a rare opportunity.

Karen said that there are a lot of PDLs inside the San Juan City Jail who haven’t experience yet eating delicious food. The vlogger chef received a round of applause when he told the PDL’s that he will cook for them. The applause even became louder when he said that he will cook “kalderetang baka” and “roasted chicken.”

In the kitchen, some PDL’s assisted Ninong Ry and they shared some details about themselves and their lives inside the institution.

After distributing the food, the vlogger chef said that he got emotional but he was containing his tears. He said that this is a different experience and he has learned a lot from this.

“Natutunan ko, una sa lahat, na hindi pala lahat ng kulungan ay pare-parehas,” he said, adding that there is what they called detention, jail, and correctional. Ninong Ry also said that he is hoping that through his video, many people would be aware of this matter.

The vlogger chef shared this video amid the issue that happened between vloggers – Zeinab Harake and Wilbert Tolentino – which also involved other vloggers. Because of this charitable endeavor that Ryan Reyes did, he received positive reactions online. Here are some tweets about this.
