BuCor Chief Gerald Bantag Belies Denied That He is Involved in Percy Lapid Case
The Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) chief Gerald Bantag denied the accusations that he is involved in the death of broadcaster Percy Lapid.
The suspended director-general denied his involvement in the killing of broadcaster Percival “Percy Lapid” Mabasa. According to him, he won’t get anything out of it.
Wala namang namamatay na gano’n,” Bantag said in the interview when asked if he was involved in the Lapid case.
He really chuckled when the footage was played because he said that he now claimed ownership of every car. This came about after he was charged with using six BuCor vehicles. Bantag highlighted that he has one of his own.
Siyempre may personal din ako,” he emphasized.
“Ano bang ranggo ko? Galing akong Marine, galing akong serbisyo.
The claim made by Lapid on his radio program that he purportedly has a mansion in a posh community and 11 cars is what Bantag is alluding to in this matter. As previously mentioned, Bantag was recently listed by the Philippine National Police as one of 160 people who are thought to be connected to the murder of Lapid.
