Concerned Motorist Goes Viral After Apprehending Alleged ‘Kotong’ MMDA Enforcer

A concerned motorist apprehended an alleged ‘Kotong’ MMDA enforcer citing violation ticket to traffic violators.

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority is an agency of the Republic of the Philippines implementing the planning, monitoring and coordinative functions along the road concerning purely local matters. The agency aims to ensure the safety of both motorists and pedestrians.

The agency covers the cities of Manila, Quezon City, Caloocan, Pasay, Mandaluyong, Makati, Pasig, Marikina, Muntinlupa, Las Piñas, Parañaque, Valenzuela, Malabon, Taguig, Navotas and San Juan and the municipality of Pateros.

MMDA employees should also set an example by following the rules and regulations.

The Facebook page “Rider’s Fact” has shared the video footage of a concerned motorist apprehending MMDA enforcers who were citing violation tickets to traffic violators early in the morning.

The video immediately spread like wildfire online and garnered various reactions from social media users.

In the video, it can be seen that the MMDA enforcers apprehended a vehicle driver for allegedly committing a traffic violation. A concerned motorist confronted the traffic enforcers for performing their job during dawn hours.

The netizen asked the MMDA employees to present their identification cards and mission order.  Unfortunately, the traffic enforcers failed to present their IDs and other documents.

One of the MMDA personnel escaped while the concerned citizen was able to stop the other one. The culprit tried to escape but the motorist and other residents stopped him. The confrontation even leads to intense commotion.
