Paulo Avelino to work with Kim Chiu in a series
ABS-CBN and Dreamscape released the story teaser of the upcoming series Linlang featuring Paulo Avelino and Kim Chiu.
After two years, Kim is having a new series. The last one she did before this was the series Love Thy Woman in 2020 while Paulo’s last series Flower of Evil ended last week.
This upcoming series will be the first time that Paulo and Kim are together in a series. Just recently, other cast members were introduced. Based on the tweet that ABS-CBN PR shared, Diamond Star Maricel Soriano is also part of this new project.
They will be joined by JM de Guzman, Ruby Ruiz, Jaime Fabregas, Raymond Bagatsing, Vance Larena, Heaven Peralejo, Adrian Lindayag, Race Matias, Anji Salvacion, and Kice.
In the video teaser, different voices were featured saying common reasons or excuses when infidelity happens in a relationship. “Ang pagtataksil ay nangyayari kahit sa pinakamaligayang pagsasama,” the voice over stated.
The story teaser also showed that infidelity can come from both sides. It also said that this is going to be the “most controversial role” of Paulo Avelino. In the video, the actor said that if there is infidelity in a relationship, it does not mean that only one side is always at fault.
The teaser stated that Kim Chiu’s role is something that the audience will “love to hate.” Kim said that this is a different series and it needs a lot of hard work. Maricel Soriano expressed that she is very excited about this project.
Director Jojo Saguin said that this series is “heavily researched” and this is going to be the first time in the history of TV series in the Philippines. Director Manny Palo said that people will surely get excited when teasers and trailers will be released. Linlang is set to premiere in 2023.
