Alden Richards talks about his experience working with Gina Alajar
Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards said that veteran actress-director Gina Alajar is not “madamot” as a co-star.
Alden was able to work with Gina as a director in his Magpakailanman story. In Start-Up PH, they work as co-actors and this has given Alden a wonderful experience. In an interview, based on the article in GMA Entertainment, the actor said that he has a unique feeling in working with the showbiz veteran.
Alden Richards said that Gina Alajar is a giving co-star. “Hindi siya madamot, we have a term called ‘madamot and giving’ sa acting world. Meaning, when you are in a scene with her, hindi ka mahihirapan kasi she’s very giving e,” the actor said.
He also said that this is something that makes him happy while working. The actor said that Gina does not give that feeling of intimidation. What they had on the set were warmth, love, concern, and happiness.
In doing scenes in the Pinoy version of the South Korean series with the same title, Alden said that Gina makes him comfortable. “Direk Gina has been in the industry for the longest time and she has this certain comfort na ibinibigay sa akin na hindi niya alam,” the actor shared.
Because of that certain comfort that he has with her on the set, Alden said that he was able to give the needed emotions and added reactions in the scenes. The actor also said that he hopes to work with the veteran actress-director again in his future projects.
Alden Richards plays the character of Tristan Hernandez in Start-Up PH, also known as Good Boy, who was taken care of Lola Ligaya “Joy” Sison, the character portrayed by Gina Alajar. Previously, viewers of the series were amused by the Tatlong Bibe scene of Asia’s Multimedia Star with Jeric Gonzales.
