Poor Dog Dies Due to Hit-and-Run Incident While Trying to Welcome Her Master
QUEZON CITY – An adorable dog trying to welcome her beloved master passed away due to a hit-and-run incident.
A fur baby in Quezon City due to a hit-and-run incident. The pet dog named Sabina suddenly run and crossed the road to welcome her master named Raul Caibog when she was accidentally hit by an L300 van.
Caibog was shocked after he witnessed the incident. The van did not even stop to check the dog’s condition. Raul takes a ride with another motorist to chase the suspect who hits his pet dog.
“Pag salubong saktong tumakbo naman siya (aso) sa labas. Sakto dumadaan naman siya (L300 van). Hahabulin ko, huhulihin ko sakto pagdaan niya nagulungan naman, nabundol,” Caibog said.
After the commotion, Caibog brought his lifeless dog to Talipapa Police Station to report the incident.
“Mahal na mahal po namin si Sabina. Kada matutulog kami kasama talaga namin sa taas iyan. Hindi po namin ‘yan winawalay sa amin. Kahit po umaalis kami, mamamasyal, magsisimba, kasama rin po namin iyan,” Rowena Caibog.
The family could not accept the fact that Sabina died. Raul rescued and adopted the stray dog last year. They have already considered her as part of their family.
The van driver explained he did not plan to run away and promised to shoulder the funeral expenses of Sabina.
“Hindi ako tumakbo, sir. Dahan-dahan lang ako. Akala ko kasi buhay pa. Sa likod ko kasi nabangga, sir, hindi naman tumawid sa harap,” the driver said.
