Customer Who Bring Left Over Samgyup Meat For Pet Dogs Goes Viral
A concerned netizen has shared the photos of a customer who earned criticisms over take-home ‘samgyup’ for pet dogs.
Samgyeopsal, samgyeopsal-gui, or grilled pork belly is a type of gui in Korean cuisine. It refers to “three layer flesh,” referring to striations of lean meat and fat in the pork belly that appear as three layers when cut.
Most Samgyupsal stores are offering eat-all-you-can services to customers. Clients can consume all the food they want inside the establishment in exchange for a certain amount. However, customers are prohibited to take out ‘foods’ or leftovers.
Recently, the Facebook page “Marites” shared a screenshot of a netizen who reportedly take home a few pieces of meat from a ‘samgyupsal’ store for pet dogs. The post garnered various reactions from the online community.
In the photos, it can be seen that the customer placed some pieces of pork meat inside the can of coca cola. The latter filled the can with meat and feed his pet dogs with the ‘take home’ meat from the store.
The uploader captioned the photos with “Thank you a kinainan naming ng samgyup at nakapag take-out kmi para sa mga alaga naming”.
The post has a caption:
“Bih, walang pinagkaiba yan sa nagtake home sa unliwings. kaya niyo naman bumili. ”
However, the post garnered divided reactions from social media users. Some of them condemn the customer’s action while some of them defended it.
The netizens expressed their reactions to the incident:
