Regine Velasquez Reacts to Bashers who Wish Her Break-up with Ogie
Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid has this message to bashers who wish her to break-up with her husband Ogie Alcasid.
Both Regine Velasquez and Ogie Alcasid won at the 13th PMPC Star Award for Music ceremony held at the Newport Resort World Theater in Pasay City. Some PMPC participants questioned the pair about their trolls backstage.
Asia’s Songbird claims that it is acceptable to criticize her but not her family, particularly Mr. Ogie. One of the topics that came up was Regine’s criticism of critics, particularly those who aim to end their marriage.
“Dapat, actually hindi ko na pinapatulan. Pero kasi kapag ako yong pipintasan or whatever, parang I don`t really mind, I`m used to it. But kung yong family ko, especially yong asawa ko, nati-trigger ako,” Regine said in her interview.
“I mean, don`t get me wrong, our relationship is not perfect. Wala namang relasyon na perfect, eh, pero parang to wish that (ang maghiwalay sila) in a couple para sa isang couple na…obviously we`re trying to work at our relationship, parang ang mean, It`s so mean,” the Songbird added.
Regine claims that despite the many issues the nation is facing, this is still the mindset of most people. She underlined the need for people to strive to support and encourage one another because there is a lot that we are all going through.
“Ang dami na nating pinagdadaanan, my gosh! Ang daming nabawas sa atin, namatayan tayo, ang daming nawala sa atin, hanggang ngayon ba, ganon pa rin? Hindi pa ba tayo natuto?” she asked.
“Hindi ba dapat, more than anything else, mas maganda if we try to encourage each other and support each other knowing that ang dami sa ating may pinagdadaanan. Lahat tayo. Depression, lahat, anxiety. Dinaanan natin lahat `yan. Hanggang ngayon, ganon pa rin tayo, Parang hindi tayo natuto. So, nakaka-sad.”
Ogie claims that he simply mocks the critics. He asserted that he understood not everyone liked them. Keep the people who care about you near to your heart because they matter, he tweeted, emphasizing that this was the reason.
Because you are the only one who becomes exhausted when you give energy to anxiety, according to Ogie. Regine, though, laughed and remarked, “Ako, hindi ako napagod.” The Songbird praised her husband as being incredibly kind.
