Alleged Illegitimate Son of Richard Yap Files Paternal Suit Against Him

The alleged ‘illegitimate son’ of actor Richard Yap has filed a paternal suit against him amid his cyberlibel case.

Actor Richard Yap is currently in court after being sued by Joshua Paolo Jensen, who claims to be his father’s abandoned son. Yap allegedly abandoned Jensen, so she filed a lawsuit at Regional Trial Court Branch 22 in Cebu City.

Richard Yap Illegitimate Son

Niña Mabatid, a councilor for Cebu City, shared the pre-trial brief between Jensen and Yap. Jensen claims that he repeatedly challenged Yap to submit to a DNA test, but the actor allegedly declined.

Jensen said.

The Jensen case occurred as the actor was already involved in a cyberlibel lawsuit he had brought against a political foe. Richard accused former Cebu City Councilor Prisca Nia Mabatid of two counts of cyberlibel.

This comes after the latter leveled allegations against him, including that he had an illegitimate son and had allegedly used public monies to support his congressional campaign. You might recall that Yap disputed that Jensen was his son in 2021.
