Cops Arrest 13 Construction Workers for Turning Construction Site Inside Philippine Army Headquarters Into Drug Den
About 13 construction workers have been arrested for turning the construction site inside the PHL Army Headquarters into a drug den.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency launched a buy-bust operation and arrest 13 construction workers for using illegal drugs inside the construction site at PHL Army Headquarters in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig.
PDEA launched the operation after the intelligence unit of the Philippine army received information regarding the group’s illegal activity inside the headquarters. The army intelligence surveyed the workers for almost a month.

“Doon nakikita na natin ang yung mga movement bakit parang ganito, parang unusual yung movement ng mga tao and during this particular hour may mga pumapasok sa isang lugar. It is being brought outside ngayon minomonitor na natin yung movement nila they sneak outside and dinadala dito,” Philippine Army Spokesperson Col. Xerxes Trinidad said.
The authorities recovered drug paraphernalia and illegal drugs worth P88, 000. The workers can freely go inside and outside the vicinity after acquiring a pass at the construction site inside the camp.
The suspects refused to give a statement regarding the incident.
The HR personnel of the construction company gets emotional and burst into tears after receiving the report. She does not have an idea regarding the illegal activity of her employees.
The workers have been placed under the custody of PDEA while the charges against them are being prepared.
