LTO to Probe ‘Karag-Karag’ Vehicles Allegedly Registered

LTO to Probe ‘Karag-Karag’ Vehicles Still Able to Register

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) will probe the ‘karag-karag’ or old vehicles that were allegedly able to register despite prohibition.

The LTO states that they will look into the registration of vehicles that are either unsafe to drive now or in the past. Teofilo Guadiz III, the LTO’s Chief Assistant Secretary, stated that they are aware of the incident and have informed the public that they will look into it and hold those responsible accountable.

The LTO Chief reaffirmed to the public that they will not accept this kind of criminal activity. Gadget Addict, the producer of the social media video that went viral, had a truck in it that was reportedly registered this year but is currently in perilous condition.

In addition to this, the video displayed some passenger jeeps that had set up an unauthorized terminal on the sidewalk emitting black smoke and lacking lighting. LTO is tenacious in its reform path to purge the Agency of scalawags and other misfits, Assistant Secretary Guadiz emphasized.

“Aside from our efforts to improve our services to the motoring public, the LTO is also relentless in its transformation journey to rid the Agency of scalawags and other misfits. We are doing our best to transform the LTO to become not only efficient but also corruption-free,” said Assistant Secretary Guadiz.

Guadiz also commended the internet users for their vigilance in assisting the LTO in purging its ranks. The LTO will investigate this, and we reassure the public that anyone found guilty will face legal action and be fired from their position with the government.

“We would also like to thank the public, the netizens for being highly vigilant in helping the LTO cleanse its ranks. The LTO will get to the bottom of this, and we assure the public that those who will be found guilty will be prosecuted and removed from government service. They have no place in the LTO,” he added.
