Jaime Fabregas Claims There Is No Case Against Leila De Lima
Seasoned actor Jaime Fabregas appealed to set former Senator Leila De Lima free as there is allegedly no case against her.
Fabregas appealed for her release on Twitter after the former senator was detained for possession of illegal narcotics. One of the well-known figures calling for the release of former senator Leila de Lima is the legendary actor.
The actor issues an appeal after De Lima was taken hostage on October 9 from her own cell at the PNP Custodial Center. Prisoners used the former senator as a hostage in their scheme to escape from Camp Crame.
Fortunately, De Lima escaped the situation unharmed. De Lima was initially taken to the PNP General Hospital to unwind and recuperate, based on the previous report.
As a result of the event, the hotel where the former senator was staying is being restored. Fabregas asserts that De Lima is not accused, in his opinion.
“FREE SEN LEILA DE LIMA IMMEDIATELY!! There are is NO CASE against her!!” Fabregas said in his post.
Some online users agreed with Fabregas. They are hoping for Leila’s safety and the triumph of righteous justice. Others have clarified Fabregas’ statement and stated that the former senator is charged.
It should be noted that De Lima is currently dealing with a number of charges relating to the allegedly illegal actions she committed while serving as the Department of Justice secretary (DOJ). De Lima’s supporters, however, denied the charges and asserted that they were all fabrications intended to silence De Lima.
