Male Passenger Uses Cheque to Pay Fare on Tricycle

TRICYCLE PRANK – A male passenger goes viral and elicits reactions online for using a cheque to pay the fare on a tricycle.

A Facebook user named Arc Carreon has shared a photo of the cheque he used to pay his fare on a tricycle. The post immediately spread like a wildfire online and garnered various reactions from the online community.

In the photo, it can be seen that Carreon is holding a “Robinsons Bank” cheque, which will be used to pay his fare. The cheque only contains P12 and it will be given to the tricycle driver. The driver refused to accept the check.

However, Arc clarified that it was just a joke and that his account has been already closed. He heard the news that Robinsons Bank and Bank of the Philippine Island will merge. Arc explained that he was just using it to prank vendors.

(Sa nanghihinayang sa tseke. 3 years nang close yang acccount. Balita ko magmemerge na nga daw yung BPI at Robinsons Bank. Ginagamit ko na lang yang tseke kunwari pambayad ng taho, scramble, etc. Panggulat  Bibili Ice tubig sa court, tapos tseke gamit noh?  )”

What is cheque?

It is a document that orders a bank to pay a specific amount of money from a person’s account to the person in whose name the cheque has been issued.

The person writing the cheque, known as the drawer, has a transaction banking account where the money is held.
