Private School Teacher Found Dead Inside Her Boarding House in Masbate
A private school teacher has been found dead in Claveria, Masbate, the construction worker suspect has been arrested.
The 24-year-old teacher identified as Jessabel Mangubat has been found dead inside the room she is renting in Brgy. Pasig in Claveria, Masbate. The educator died during the celebration of National Teachers’ Day.
According to the police investigation, the teacher probably died after being smashed by a hard object in the head. The incident reportedly happened last Wednesday (October 5, 2022). The cops have already arrested the suspect.
A witness revealed that a 30-year-old construction worker in the barangay reportedly killed the lady victim. The authorities recovered 14 inches of wood, which was allegedly used for the crime.
Police Regional Office-Bicol reported that the suspect is drunk at the time of the incident. The suspect breaks into the victim’s boarding house knowing that Mangubat is alone during that time.
“Nakainom ang suspek, boy po sya doon sa nirerentahan ng kwarto ng biktima. Nagkataon po na wala yung may ari ng boarding house nasa masbate kaya nagkaroon ng chance yung boy na gawin ang krimen. Pinasok nya sa kwarto yung biktima daw po,” Police Regional Office-Bicol said.
The construction worker admitted the crime and is currently detained under police custody. Currently, the culprit has been only accused of involvement in a mauling incident. The authorities are still waiting for the female victim’s autopsy result.
