Piolo Pascual talked about Iñigo Pascual’s success
Kapamilya A-list actor Piolo Pascual shared his thoughts on being called “the father of Iñigo Pascual.”
Piolo has achieved remarkable success in the entertainment industry. His acting projects were critically-acclaimed. He also ventured into singing and hosting stints. With his track record in the industry, there are a lot of younger stars who look up to him, including his son Iñigo.
In previous interviews, Iñigo shared that seeing his dad’s success in showbiz inspired him to be in the same world. Now, the younger Pascual is making his name on the international stage.
Iñigo is part of the Hollywood series Monarch and this international acting stint can definitely open more doors of opportunity for his career abroad. In a recent interview, based on the article in Inquirer, Piolo Pascual said that he feels relieved that his son is now away from his shadow.
“It’s actually a relief. Iñigo will always be compared to me. I’m glad that he’s already out of my shadows,” the A-list actor said. Piolo added that with this, people will no longer call Iñigo his son and there will be no speculation that having a dad who is an actor gave Iñigo the free passes to be in showbiz as well.
“He has his own name and is earning on his own,” Piolo said. He also said that he does not mind being associated with his son. “I’d be more than proud to be called ‘the father of Iñigo Pascual.’ I actually got a text message asking me how it feels that my surname, Pascual, is already part of the credits of a major Hollywood show. That is already a blessing. Iñigo has really gone a long way,” the Kapamilya star said.
Piolo also said that it has always been his thinking that his son is the better version of himself. He acknowledges that Iñigo is a better performer onstage. The A-list actor stressed that his son is a good singer and dancer
“He is still young and has a lot to accomplish. When I was 25, I still had no clue of what I was doing,” Piolo Pascual said, adding that seeing the things that his son is doing right now, he is already making a mark in the industry.
