Ogie Diaz debunked this fake news about Vhong Navarro
Rumors surfaced that actor-host Vhong Navarro was released from the detention center and this received a reaction from talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz.
Vhong was detained at the National Bureau of Investigation after he was arrested for the rape case filed by model Deniece Cornejo. Previously, veteran showbiz writer Cristy Fermin shared that the It’s Showtime host is going through a tough time inside the detention center.
Cristy’s source said that Vhong was not able to eat and sleep properly amid the legal battle that he is facing. It was also said he cries a lot while waiting for the result of their petition that he will be allowed to post bail.
In a recent Showbiz Update vlog of Ogie Diaz with Mrena and guest co-host Ate Dick, the talent manager debunked the rumors that Vhong Navarro was freed by the authorities. It is because of the comments on his YouTube channel from netizens who asked why he has no idea that Vhong was already released and allegedly, he will return to the Kapamilya noontime show soon.
Ogie showed several screenshots of YouTube channels having this claim. He stressed that there is no truth to this as once Vhong will be released, they will surely know about this as it will be featured in mainstream media outlets. Ogie also reminded netizens to be careful of YouTube channels that are creating fake news content.
“Hindi po totoo, sana nga lang. Sana totoo na yung balita nyo na si Vhong ay nakalaya na,” the talent manager said.
Ogie Diaz also mentioned the decision of the Court of Appeals (CA) to junk the petition of Vhong Navarro to dismiss the cases against him.
