What’s the latest update about the collab series featuring Joshua Garcia and Gabbi Garcia?
GMA’s Senior VP for Entertainment Ms. Lilybeth Rasonable was asked about the rumored collaboration series that will feature Kapamilya actor Joshua Garcia and Kapuso actress Gabbi Garcia.
Last August, rumors surfaced that ABS-CBN and GMA will partner in producing a series and it was said that Joshua and Gabbi will star in this project. For the past years, the Kapamilya and the Kapuso networks have joined hands in making movies. There were several instances where stars from ABS-CBN and GMA were paired together in one film.
However, there had been no collaboration series from both media giants in the past. Last month, it was the first time that rumors surfaced that Joshua and Gabbi will be together in one series.
In a recent interview, based on the article in the Philippine Entertainment Portal, Ms. Lilybeth Resonable was asked about the Joshua Garcia-Gabbi Garcia rumored collaboration series. “I don’t want to comment on that kasi ano I don’t want to get ahead of anything. But, ano naman e di ba? We already have initially a collaboration for films, di ba? So, anything is possible,” she said.
The TV executive added that this has been featured in showbiz news articles already and this somehow opened the possibility. “So, why not naman di ba?” she said.
Resonable pointed out that now, there were already stars from other networks who crossed over to GMA such as Xian Lim, Pokwang, and Dominic Ochoa. She said that it is a good thing that all these things can happen.
Meanwhile, it was rumored that Joshua Garcia and Gabbi Garcia’s rumored collaboration series will be the remake of Saan Nagtatago ang Pag-ibig? which was a 1987 film featuring Star For All Season Vilma Santos and seasoned actor Tonton Gutierrez.
