Grade 11 Student Spotted Selling Taho Receives Help from Concerned Netizen

A Grade 11 student who went viral on social media after being spotted selling ‘Taho’ while wearing a school uniform received help from a concerned netizen.

The viral video of a young man in Tanza, Cavite, lugging a hefty stainless bucket while wearing a school uniform has touched the hearts of internet users. The pupil allegedly sold “taho” before entering the classroom.

The person who uploaded the movie “Jhap Tarog” was named Gopi or Gurprit Paris D. Singh, 16, by the uploader. Tarog claimed that when he spotted Gopi by the side of the road carrying two stainless buckets, it broke his heart and made him proud at the same time.

Gopi’s father is Indian and her mother is Filipina based on her outward appearance and last name. Even though they migrated to Tanza, Cavite, he was believed to have been born in Cebu City.

The story claims that Gopi gets up early every day to create his taho product with the help of his mother, who prepares the arnibal and sago that are part of the taho product. He promotes his goods while walking to school.

When he is at school, he left his buckets at the school facility and asks the security guard to watch it. During recess or lunch, he peddles again to his schoolmates to make ends meet.

Gopi makes between 400 and 600 pesos per day, which is quite helpful for his education. Gopi is not ashamed of what he is doing because he aspires to be a civil engineer. Like in mathematics, the student in 11th grade thinks there is a solution to every issue.

He claimed that when his Gopi-related video became viral, support for him began to come in. Mike Ivander Presa and Renz Marlon Galloba Mateo, two business associates from JRP Thailand, got in touch with him right away to surprise him.

Based on the Facebook post, along with the cash and groceries, they also donated Gopi an e-bike with a sidecar so he could use it for his taho pedaling. Even the moniker “Gopi’s Taho Special” was used.
