Various LGUs Declare Class Suspensions in These Areas

WALANG PASOK – Various local government units have declared class suspensions due to the inclement weather condition in some areas.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration reported that the southwest monsoon or locally known as habagat will continue to bring inclement weather conditions over some parts of the country.

PAGASA is currently monitoring a low-pressure area 1,015 kilometers east of Central Luzon. The LPA is enhancing the southwest monsoon, which will bring cloudy conditions with scattered rains.

Class Suspension

The weather agency has also warned the public of possible flooding and landslides in the affected areas.

On Wednesday (September 21, 2022), different local government units declared class cancellations in several areas due to the inclement weather brought by habagat.

Here is the list of areas covered by class suspension:

Batangas

  • Lian – All levels (public and private)
  • Calatagan – All levels (public and private)
  • Lemery – All levels (public and private)
  • Tuy – All levels (public and private)
  • Taal – All levels (public and private)
  • Nasugbu – Preschool to senior high school
  • Calaca – Preschool to senior high school

The suspension of classes have been declared to ensure the safety of both students and school employees from any form of danger due to effects of habagat.
