Diesel & Kerosene Prices to Rollback, Gasoline Prices Unchanged, According to Gas Stations

Several gas stations have announced a rollback on prices of diesel and kerosene while gasoline prices will remain unchanged.

Over the past few months, the prices of petroleum products play a very important role to the country’s economy. Pump price adjustment usually causes significant impact on prices of products and services in the country.

The consecutive oil price hike during the past few months contributed to the daily burden of Filipino people, especially those who were in the public transport sector. Price rollbacks can somehow ease the struggles of Filipino drivers.

On Monday (September 19, 2022), various oil companies in the country announced another round of rollback on prices of diesel and kerosene for three straight weeks. However, gasoline prices will remain the same.

Chevron Philippines Inc. (Caltex), Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp., and Seaoil Philippines Inc. announced a rollback of P4.15 per liter of diesel and P4.45 per liter of kerosene.

Cleanfuel and Petro Gazz will implement similar changes except for kerosene which they do not carry. All companies will impose the price adjustments at 6 am on Tuesday (September 20, 2022) except for Caltex and Cleanfuel which will adjust prices at 12:01 am.

Meanwhile, other oil companies have yet to make similar announcements later this week.

The Department of Energy has also shown the year-to-date total adjustments, which stand at a net increase of P17.45 per liter of gasoline, P29.10 per liter of diesel, and P24.30 per liter of kerosene as of August 16, 2022.
