Netizens expressed dismay on the Darna series featuring Jane de Leon because they claim that there is something missing.

Darna is one of the most anticipated projects of ABS-CBN. Fans have been waiting for this for a long time because the project was first announced before the pandemic. Due the global health problem and some factors, the Darna project was postponed for several times.

When the release date was finally announced, it is inevitable for viewers to have high expectations. After all, they have waiting for quite a long time before this was finally released.

A popular showbiz site shared this recent Instagram Story that Jane de Leon shared. The actress showed that her hand was injured but her caption was still in fighting mode. “The show must go on,” she wrote.

In the comment section of the post, the majority of the netizens who shared their comments not connected to the injury that Jane had. “But the low rating will. Ang chaka ng Darna, maganda lang sa umpisa,” a commenter wrote.

Other netizens agreed with this. They claim that the series was good during its first week but the week that followed, Darna did not impress them anymore. There was one who even shared that the excitement was easily gone. Another netizen commented that the budget for this project was put to waste.

There were also who said that there is something lacking in the series but they can’t particularly point it out. Some netizens even said that they hope the series of Jane de Leon will be replaced by Flower of Evil, the Pinoy version of the South Korean series, which features Piolo Pascual, Lovi Poe, and Paulo Avelino.
