Delivery Rider Argues w/ Greenwich Manager After Waiting 2 Hours for OrderĀ

Delivery Rider Got Into Argument w/ Greenwich Manager Over Long Wait

A delivery rider got into an argument with the manager of the popular fast-food chain Greenwich after he had been waiting for nearly two hours for an order.

Recently, a member of the Facebook group Foodpanda Manila Riders shared a video of the delivery rider arguing with the Greenwich manager. The post quickly went viral and received various reactions from the online community.

According to the rider who appeared in the video, he arrived at the restaurant to pick up an order for two boxes of pizza. When he first checked the order on his device, it still showed that the food was being prepared. He decided to sit down and patiently wait inside the store.

After a few minutes, the app changed the status to ready for pickup. In delivery platforms, this usually means that the food is already prepared and can be handed to the rider. The rider politely approached a crew member and asked if they could follow up on the order.

The staff went to check, and the rider continued waiting. However, the minutes passed and the food still had not arrived. After about 30 minutes, the rider began to feel concerned because delays like this could affect his delivery record and income.

Riders explained that if an order takes too long, it may be reassigned to another rider, causing them to lose the delivery.

The rider later approached the staff again to follow up. At that moment, the store manager came out and asked about the problem. The rider explained that he had already been waiting for almost an hour even though the app had already shown that the order was ready.

The conversation soon became tense as both sides tried to explain their points. The manager said the food was still being prepared and claimed that the ready status could sometimes appear automatically on their device.

The rider insisted that the system should only be marked ready when the order is actually finished. The rider expressed his frustration about the long wait. At one point, the manager reportedly refused to release the order and asked the security guard to escort the rider outside the restaurant.

The rider said he later tried to apologize and calm the situation because he simply wanted to get the order and continue working. He explained that he had been working as aĀ FoodpandaĀ rider forĀ nearly aĀ year,Ā and it was the first time he had experienced such a situation with a restaurant manager.
