Willie Revillame is the first-ever talent of AMBS
Veteran host Willie Revillame has this role in ALLTV as AMBS President Maribeth Tolentino revealed.
From the time Willie announced that he did not renew his contract with GMA-7, it was already revealed that he was negotiating with business tycoon Manny Villar‘s Advanced Media Broadcasting System. At that time, it was rumored that he will have an executive position in the company.
As a talent, he was the first to sign a contract with Villar’s network for his game show Wowowin. Previously, the veteran host said that he personally talked to the artists who joined ALLTV.
In a recent interview, based on the article in the Philippine Entertainment Portal, Ms. Maribeth Tolentino clarified the role of Willie Revillame in the media company. She said that it is a known fact that the veteran host is an expert in his field. The TV executive said that Willie is their partner as well.
Tolentino said that the veteran host knows the ins and outs of the industry. He also knows who is fit in a certain project. “Kilala niya yung mga artista. So, siya yung logical na pakinggan namin regarding dito sa programming,” she said, adding that Willie contributed a lot when it comes to this aspect.
The AMBS President also said that everywhere Willie goes, his show has a high rating and so it is just logical for them to listen to his advice. “So, sabi ko nga, siya rin ang may kakilala sa mga stars. So, pag sinabi niya na, ‘Ganito ‘yan, ito si ganito…’ parang nade-describe niya sa amin. At least, nakakatulong din yun,” she explained.
Aside from giving advice, Willie Revillame does some recommendations and would get the talents needed. “Consultant namin siya. How to go about this venture, siya ang unang nag-a-advise sa amin,” Tolentino said, adding that just like other companies they also have a consultant and it is the veteran host.
