Korean Actor Lee Jung-jae as Best Lead Actor at Emmys
Best lead actor in most popular Netflix survival thriller horror drama action is Korean actor Lee Jung-jae at the 2022 Emmy Awards.
Squid Game, a popular Netflix comedy, continues to receive praise after winning two significant honors at the 2022 Emmy Awards, which were held in Los Angeles, California, last September 12. (US Time).
Based on the report of Variety, hundreds of strapped for cash gamers agree to a peculiar invitation to compete in kid-friendly games with fatally high stakes in Squid Game.
The lead actor Lee Jung-jae, who played Gi-hun, was the first Asian actor to get the award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. At the Screen Actors Guild Awards in February of last year, Jung-jae also took home the prize for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series.
“Thank you to the Television Academy, thank you to Netflix and thank you to the director for making realistic problems we all face come to life so creatively on the screen with a great script. Thank you, ‘Squid Game’ team. Thank you to everyone watching in Korea,” Lee Jung-jae said after receiving his award.
The report mentioned that, he was the first actor to win the drama prize for a non-English speaking part and the fourth Asian actor overall to win in any of the Emmy performance categories. Lee triumphed over a formidable field of rivals that included Bob Odenkirk from “Better Call Saul,” Jason Bateman from “Ozark,” Adam Scott from “Severance,” and Brian Cox and Jeremy Strong from “Succession.”
The actor received the said nomination in his unbelievably amazing performance in the Netflix “Squid Game”, a series that tackles about surviving in different games that the time you will fail you will automatically lost the game and also your life. It was suprisingly watched by millions of people because of it’s thrilled games and also the life lesson that you will learn all through out the movie.
The Squid game receives lots of recognition this year Emmys award, 14 times nominated and took home the 4 major awards for this year’s creative arts.
