Sylvia Sanchez enjoyed her Cannes experience
Award-winning actress Sylvia Sanchez shared that she met Squid Game star Lee Jung-jae at Cannes Film Festival.
Sylvia is not a newbie when it comes to awards night and film festivals because of her remarkable experiences and achievement in the entertainment industry. However, when she attended the Cannes this year, she can’t help but switch on her fangirling mode.
In her recent Instagram post, the seasoned actress shared photos with the South Korean actor. “It was nice meeting you, Mr. Lee Jung-jae,” Sylvia wrote in the caption of her post. Apparently, she met the Squid Game star during the K-Movie Night event at Cannes.
Prior to this post, Sylvia Sanchez shared a video showing Liza Diño, the chairperson of the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP), talking to other Cannes delegates.
In the caption of her post, the seasoned actress expressed admiration to the FDCP head for introducing the movie industry in the Philippines to the whole world. “Hindi biro ang ginagawa mo as FDCP Chairman dito sa Cannes Festival, nawitness ko lahat ngayong araw na ito kung paano mo inaangat, pinagmamalaki ang Pelikulang Pilipino, ang industriya natin,” Sylvia said.
The actress also commended Liza for being so hands-on when it comes to the welfare of the film industry. Sylvia said that she now understands all the effort that the FDCP head has done. For the veteran actress, there are things that need to be gambled in order to introduce the Philippine movies to the global market.
Sylvia Sanchez also revealed that only that portion of the conversation was recorded because she was observing Liza. “Much respect sayo FDCP Chairman @lizadino. I’m so proud of you!!!” the seasoned actress said.
