26-Year-Old Woman w/ Intellectual Disability Went to Mall to Meet Online Friend But Never Returned Home

BIÑAN, LAGUNA – A 26-year-old woman went missing after meeting a guy she met online, her family is already searching for the victim.

Over the past few months, the cases of missing people in different parts of the country become the headlines of local news outlets and social media pages. Some of the victims have been found dead a few days after they went missing.

Last month, Jovelyn Galleno goes viral after she went missing at Robinson’s Puerto Princesa. A few weeks after she went missing, PNP Palawan found her alleged remains and conduct an autopsy and DNA test, which eventually turned positive.

According to the police authorities, the young lady identified as alias ‘Marie’ went missing after meeting a guy she met on social media. The woman went to a mall in the town but never returned home.

Marie is a resident of Barangay Santo Tomas in Biñan, Laguna. According to her relatives, the victim’s phone has been last contacted the night she went missing. However, a guy answered the call and quickly turned off the phone.

The cops also learned that Marie has an intellectual disability and was diagnosed with epilepsy. The family worries that the assailants took advantage of the victim’s mental incapability.

The family immediately reported the incident to the police authorities of Biñan. The family also urged the public to contact Biñan Police for any details or information regarding Marie’s location.
