Catriona Gray is taking acting workshops
Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray is ready to broaden her horizon in the entertainment industry as she is now preparing for her acting career.
Following her successful pageant stint, Catriona has done hosting jobs. Even before she brought home the fourth Miss Universe crown for the Philippines, she was already covering songs on YouTube.
Aside from hosting and singing stints, Catriona is preparing herself to embrace the world of acting. Based on the article in Inquirer, the beauty queen has started taking acting workshops.
Just like in other things that she does, Catriona Gray said that she wants also to be prepared when it comes to her career in acting. “There are offers and I’m very much open to these opportunities,” the Filipina-Australian beauty shared.
However, as of the moment, she is just waiting for the right project for her. While waiting, she is taking necessary preparations because she does not want to just emerge herself to something when she is not fully prepared yet.
When asked about the genre she would want to do, Catriona said that she would like to try action because she did karate when she was young. She also said that her knowledge of martial arts will help her in doing fight scenes.
Meanwhile, Catriona shared updates on her advocacy and her stint as a singer. She said that Smile Train, a nonprofit organization that provides corrective surgery for children with cleft lips and palettes, will have more outreach trips.
The beauty queen will also have more live performances in the future and she is enjoying her hosting stint. Her Kumu show Top Class: Rise to P-pop Stardom has concluded just recently. Catriona Gray shared that she is excited about the next journey of the winners, the Top Class 5 (this is not their final name yet). “I can’t wait to witness their debut performance,” she enthused.
