Julia Barretto has a new movie that features a lot of “what ifs scenario”
Kapamilya actress Julia Barretto said that she does not want to dwell on “what ifs” in her life just like what is being featured in her new movie Expensive Candy with Carlo Aquino.
In the said movie, Julia plays the role of a hooker who catches the attention of a high school teacher who falls in love with her in an instant. The story revolves around the contrasting statuses of their lives.
In a recent interview for this movie’s promotion, based on the article in The Philippine Star, the actress was asked to share her thoughts on “what ifs” because in the movie, this kind of scenario was featured.
Julia Barretto said that as much as possible, she does not want to get stuck in what-ifs. “I always wanna have that mindset na kung saan ako napadpad dun ako meant na mapadpad,” the actress said.
Although, she admitted that moments in which people would think about the possibility of what could happen if certain choices were done differently, really happen sometimes. She also said that at the end of the day, the most important thing is that she is happy.
“It means tama yung dinaanan ko. Tama yung pinuntahan ko. So, if you go home and your choice makes you feel happy and you go home feeling that you made the right decision for yourself, even if it doesn’t even feel right now. If later on, that’s when you feel good about kung ano man yun, it means, kung anong meant…” Julia explained.
When asked how far she will go when it comes to love, the actress couldn’t find the right words to say to avoid being in the headlines the next day. On the other hand, when director JP Laxamana said that he will do everything for his parents who he loves, Julia Barretto agreed and said, “Just always be 100 percent if the love feels right.”
In a previous article, the actress said that she is drawing a boundary between her work and personal life. She said this after she was asked about the recent issues involving her and her boyfriend Gerald Anderson.
