Andi Eigenmann Shares Touching Tribute To Her Late Aunt Cherie Gil

ANDI EIGENMANN – Former actress Andi Eigenmann penned a touching tribute to her late aunt Cherie Gil.

Tributes flowed in for late veteran actress Cherie Gil after news of her passing was announced by talent manager Annabelle Rama and confirmed by Gil’s own nephew Sid Lucero. She is 59.

Gil died due to cancer of the reproductive system, in New York City, this Friday, August 5, 2022. Filipino celebrities who appeared with Gil in several projects also wrote personal messages on their own social media accounts about how they remembered the award-winning actress dubbed “La Primavera Contravida.”

Cherie Gil is considered to be among the best actresses in the country. The actress is survived by her parents Rosemarie Gil and Eddie Mesa, her remaining living sibling Michael de Mesa (their brother Mark died in 2014 from liver cancer), and her children Bianca, Jay, and Raphael.

Besides Sid, the actress’ nieces and nephews are Gabby Eigenmann, Ryan Eigenmann, Andi Eigenmann, and Max Eigenmann.

Andi Eigenmann took to her Instagram account and shared a series of photos as her tribute to her late aunt. She uploaded several snaps of them together and even reposted pics that were posted by her cousins.

In one photo, the celebrity mom said that it was Cherie who inspired her to remain true to herself. She wrote, “The one who inspires me to always stay true to my authentic self.”

In another post, Andi Eigenmann said that Cherie Gil was there in most. “You were there in most, if not all of my life’s milestones, but my favorite was being with you here during my first time on this magical island. Wouldn’t have had it any other way,” she wrote.
