The stars during the GMA Gala Night are on their A-Game but what about the food?
GMA GALA NIGHT – Sparkle artist Mariel Pamintuan has this comment which stirred issues regarding the food during the event.
Last Saturday, July 30, 2022, the brightest stars of the GMA Thanksgiving Gala gathered at Shangri-La The Fort in Bonifacio Global City. They were on their A-game wearing outfits with an Old Hollywood theme. This much-awaited event is the first gala night of the Kapuso network.
And Sparkle artist Mariel Pamintuan, one of the attendees, went viral online after making a comment about the food served to them. She expressed in a video that the food tastes like liver spread. Whether she was joking or not, people online slammed her.
“Hello, may sinasabi po siya sa pagkain. Anong lasa ng pagkain? Lasang liver spread? Okay, sabi po nila, lasang silver spread daw yung pagkain namin,” she said in the video.
In a clarification, the actress explained that at that time when she said the statement, they were eating the appetizer. The appetizer served is Braised duck leg terrine apricot and pecan nuts, grain mustard cream, garden leaves, chunky apple compote.
Upon the rise of this issue, Ogie Diaz expressed his opinion in his latest YouTube video and said that such incidents are just normal in events like the gala. He wasn’t there to make his judgment but in his experience like the Star Magic Ball, cases like this also happen.
“’Yang mga ganyang moment, normal ‘yan. Kahit sa Star Magic Ball, marami ring mga ganyang hanash.” he said.
