PAGASA Says LPA & Enhanced Habagat to Affect PH Weather Condition
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that a low-pressure area and enhanced LPA will bring rain over some parts of the country.
On Thursday (July 28, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The low-pressure area and enhanced habagat will affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA reported that the low-pressure area has been last spotted at 975 kilometers east of extreme Northern Luzon. However, it has a low chance of developing into a storm but could still turn into a tropical depression.
“Kasalukuyan, itong mga sama ng panahon na ito ay nageenhance ng southwest monsoon na kasalukuyang nakakaapekto sa bahagi ng Southern Luzon at Visayas,” Pagasa weather specialist Grace Castañeda said.
A tropical depression located at 1,915 kilometers east of northern Luzon has maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 70 kph while moving 15 kph at a west northwest direction.
The LPA will bring Cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Bicol Region, Aurora, Quezon, Bataan and Zambales.
The southwest Monsoon / localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
The weather agency has also advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and during severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over northern Luzon and the remaining parts of the country will be slight to moderate, according to the weather agency.
