EARTHQUAKE TODAY ABRA – Here are some photos showing the aftermath of the 7.3 magnitude quake in La Trinidad, Benguet that hit Abra as the epicenter.
In the Philippines, the government agency that records earthquakes in the country is the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology or more commonly called PHIVOLCS. The public agency releases a bulletin to give the public details about every natural occurrence.
However, experts across the globe agree that earthquakes can be hardly predicted. They can happen anytime and anywhere although there are really areas that are considered prone to quakes. Meanwhile, there are measures that can be done to prepare for such events like the conduct of earthquake drills so many would be aware about the right things to do.
Recently, a 7.3 magnitude earthquake hit some parts of the Philippines. The said earthquake today Abra as the epicenter was later downgraded to 7.0.
However, the earthquake today Abra as its epicenter was strong enough to destroy infrastructures and trigger road accidents. Several structures in La Trinidad, Benguet were damaged by the quake.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in La Trinidad, Benguet was among those that were quick to respond to the incidents. Search and rescue operations were lodged right away in the areas affected by the earthquake today.
