DOH Releases Guidelines for 2nd Booster Shot vs. COVID-19

Guidelines of DOH for Nationwide Rollout of the COVID-19 Booster Shot

DOH – The Department of Health released guidelines for the giving of the 2nd booster shot against COVID-19.

The fight against the COVID-19 pandemic is ongoing as there are still threats of the virus. Every day, there are still new cases recorded and the whole country remains under community quarantine measures. The World Health Organization (WHO) recently reminded that the pandemic is “nowhere near over”.

According to the WHO, the pandemic is not over everywhere if it is not over somewhere. The international body even expects a rise in the cases in European countries this summer amid loose quarantine measures.

In the Philippines, the alert level system remains but the national government has already ordered the Department of Health (DOH) to review the measures. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the health department is also ready for the rolling out of the 2nd booster shot.
