Sharon Cuneta mentioned PBBM during her US concert with Regine Velasquez
Megastar Sharon Cuneta called for unity and support for President Bongbong Marcos even though she supported former Vice President Leni Robredo during the 2022 elections.
Sharon’s husband, former Senator Kiko Pangilinan, was the running mate of Robredo. The Megastar has actively joined the campaign events of Kakampinks in different areas of the country.
Although her parents were close to former President Ferdinand Marcos and former First Lady Imelda Marcos, Sharon somehow expressed criticisms against the political family during the elections.
However, in a statement during a campaign event, she recalled the friendship that she has with the PBBM and Vice President Sara Duterte. Just like many Kakampink celebrities, Sharon Cuneta has also expressed support for the new administration.
Based on the article in Balita.net.ph, the Megastar shared her “panawagan” with all the Filipinos after the elections. “There is a new Philippine President. We have to pray for him and wish him only the best because we have to be united as a country and whoever the Filipino people have chosen, we have to respect, honor and pray for,” the actress-singer said.
Sharon also pointed out that this is the chance for PBBM to redeem their family’s name and she hopes everyone will just unite and forget politics. “Because he has a rare chance of redeeming the name and we pray he does because it will be good for every Filipino. So let’s unite and let’s forget politics. Naka-move on na ‘yung mga kandidato, ‘yung iba hindi pa,” the Megastar said.
Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez also shared her thoughts on this matter. The wife of OPM icon Ogie Alcasid is also one of the Kakampink celebrities who campaign for the Leni-Kiko tandem.
“And also, if we wish him na hindi siya maging successful de tayo rin ang kawawa so let’s just pray for him. Let’s support him,” the Songbird said. Sharon Cuneta agreed with this as she said asked Filipinos to pray for the new President and wish him all the best. “All the best President Marcos,” the Megastar added.
