Maja Salvador is happy to be a Dabarkad
Actress Maja Salvador expressed the overwhelming feeling that she has about having a new segment in the longest-running noontime show Eat Bulaga.
Maja joined the Dabarkads last year and she was given her own segment “Dancing Kween”. On the day she was launched as the new host of the Kapuso noontime show, Maja shared that she has been a fan of Eat Bulaga since she was young.
She even revealed that she wanted to join the popular kiddie search segment “Little Miss Philippines”. Last Saturday, her segment that featured talented dancers ended. However, her stint in the Kapuso noontime show is not stopping there.
Maja Salvador was given a new segment called “Bida Next.” It is like a talent search that would allow Filipinos to showcase their talent and have the chance to be a part of the show.
Based on the article in GMA Entertainment, the actress went emotional when she was introduced along with the new segment of the show. “Sorry, siguro po sobrang overwhelming lang last Saturday sa segment na ibinigay sa akin ng EB [Eat Bulaga] tapos ngayon pine-present niyo naman ako na one of the dabarkads so parang nagsi-sink-in bigla na parang ‘Ay parang naiiyak ako? sorry po,” she said.
Mainstay hosts Paolo Ballesteros and Allan K hugged her. She added that what she said during her launching as an Eat Bulaga host was true.
“Totoo po yung [sinabi ko noong] ni-launch ako [dito] from bata na nakikinood lang [sa TV ng] kapitbahay, fan ng ‘Little Miss Philippines,’ and now nandito [sa Eat Bulaga], binigyan ng segment, grabe ‘yung love and support na binibigay tapos ngayon itong segment na ‘Bida Next’ parte [ako] ng dabarkads talaga so ‘yun po parang naging [emosyonal] ako,” Maja Salvador said.
In one of her recent Instagram posts, the actress also expressed gratitude to Eat Bulaga for the opportunity that the show has given her. She said that she is ecstatic for having a segment that has become an inspiration to other people.
