Bea Alonzo reminisced about working with John Lloyd Cruz
Kapuso actress Bea Alonzo revealed that her favorite leading man is A-list actor John Lloyd Cruz and here’s the reason why.
Bea and John Lloyd have done several blockbuster movies together. They are among the most celebrated love teams of their generation. Behind their onscreen partnership, they were able to establish a friendship that became stronger over time.
In a recent interview on the Updated with Nelson Canlas, Bea shared that among all his leading men, John Lloyd is number one on her list.
“Because we’ve known each other since we were kids, 13. So, I’ve known him for more than half my life, 21 years,” Bea Alonzo explained. During the interview, the Kapuso actress also shared the wonderful traits of the A-list actor that she wishes other people would also know.
“He is so compassionate and so loving to everyone. I wish everybody knew that, how sensitive and how empathic he is. Gano’n siya eh, compassionate,” Bea said.
She added that her longtime leading man is very “maawain” and that he really loves helping other people. The actress shared that John Lloyd would pay a friend’s hospital bill and he would easily help other people financially.
“Hindi mo alam how compassionate he is, and how generous and how loving. Alam ng mga tao, he’s very complicated but parang lahat ng ‘yon all rolled into one. That is John Lloyd, that’s how interesting he is,” she shared.
Meanwhile, Bea Alonzo is now taping for her first Kapuso series, the Filipino adaptation of the South Korean series Start-Up. In the series, she will be joined by Alden Richards, Jeric Gonzales, and Yasmien Kurdi. John Lloyd Cruz, on the other hand, has a top-rated sitcom titled Happy ToGetHer.
