Bea Alonzo recalled doing these things when she was starting in showbiz
Kapuso actress Bea Alonzo shared her humble beginnings in the entertainment industry and the hardships that she encountered when she was starting as an actress.
Bea has come a long way from the time she was launched as one of the artists of Star Magic. She has done blockbuster movies and hit series that have become part of the lives of her fans.
Starting a career in showbiz was not that easy for Bea Alonzo, just like many artists who had humble beginnings. Based on the article in GMA Entertainment, the Kapuso star shared that when she was starting, one of the things that she encountered was her wardrobe.
Talking on the Updated with Nelson Canlas podcast, the actress revealed that she used to borrow clothes from her neighbor. She shared that back then, the production would require her to prepare 50 sets of “pambahay” clothes. At that time, she has no stylist yet.
“Parang, I remember, halimbawa sasabihin nila 25 sets of panglakad. Tinitingnan ko ‘yung closet ko, parang tatlong maong na pantalon lang meron ako. Saan ako kukuha ng 25?” Bea shared.
With this, she asked helped from her neighbor because back then, she had no ability yet to buy many clothes. “Kumakatok kami sa mga kapitbahay namin gano’n, tapos magpapahiram naman sila. Mababait sila kasi gusto nila makita sa TV ‘yung damit nila ganun, as in nanghihiram lang kami,” the actress revealed.
There were times that she can’t borrow from her neighbor, then, they would go to Divisoria to find the clothes that she needed for a project. When she was already earning a little, her mother would go to Divisoria early in the morning to buy her wardrobe before the taping.
