Is this the reason why Pokwang ended her relationship with Lee O’Brian?
Kapuso comedienne Pokwang allegedly has this reason for breaking up with her longtime partner Lee O’Brian as mentioned in a recent Showbiz Now Na episode.
After seven months since they separated, Pokie confirmed through her social media post that she and Lee are just co-parenting now their daughter Malia. The comedienne stressed that they broke up as friends and they separated peacefully.
Pokie did not reveal the reason for their breakup and her close friend talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz, who was the first to reveal the breakup to the public, that there was no third party.
In a recent showbiz program of Cristy Fermin, Romel Chika, and Morly Alinio on YouTube, the alleged reason for the breakup was revealed. Allegedly, Pokwang’s former partner is “tamad”.
“Kung baga, si Pokwang talaga ang nagta-trabaho, yung kumikilos para sa kanilang pamilya,” Cristy said about the rumors surrounding the breakup. Then, Romel mentioned the story that he knew that was like “you and me against the world.”
It was alleged that the Pokie’s family is against her relationship with Lee because the latter has no regular job as they thought that he is a foreigner, he might help the comedienne financially.
“Ang nangyari, parang si Pokwang pa ang kumikilos para sa ikabubuhay nilang pamilya,” Romel said. Cristy added that the family of the comedienne is against Lee because “pati sila nahaharangan ng biyaya.”
Allegedly, Pokie has become selfish in supporting her family financially because Lee would prevent her from being generous to her loved ones. “Parang nadala si Pokwang nung Lee sa pagiging maramot,” the veteran showbiz writer said. Romel justified this by saying that maybe because Pokie felt that she has her own family and so, she had to provide for them first.
Cristy Fermin added that the life of Pokie has been an open book and it is known to many that for many years, the comedienne is the breadwinner. The showbiz writer said that it is understandable that the time will come that Pokie would want to think for herself first and for her children.
For Morly, the reason for the breakup was more than just the alleged “katamaran” of Lee. He thinks that there is a deeper reason why Pokie ended her relationship with the foreigner.
