Here’s Photo Of Suspect That Shot Former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe

SHINZO ABE – Here’s the photo of the suspect that shot ex-Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in Nara, Japan. The weapon used appears to be a homemade gun composed of pipes.

Following a previous article, former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was rushed to a hospital following an apparent shooting. He collapsed while giving a speech on a street in Nara City at around 11:30.

Ahead of the approaching Upper House elections on Sunday, Abe gave a speech in support of LDP candidates. He was scheduled to travel to Saitama and Kyoto, two prefectures close to Tokyo.

Shinzo Abe was shot twice, with the second hitting him in the back. He then collapsed and fell to the ground with blood.

An official from the Nara City Fire Department said Shinzo Abe is in a state of cardiopulmonary arrest. It means that the former Liberal Democratic Party leader has a sudden loss of heart function and breathing.

Based on a report from CNN, the suspect that shot Shinzo Abe has been arrested and charged with attempted murder. Cops arrested a 41-year-old man named Tetsuya Yamagami of Nara. They also seized the weapon believed used in the shooting.

NHK reported that the local man used a handmade gun. Photos from the scene show the gun on the ground, wrapped in black material.

Abe is Japan’s longest-serving prime minister. He served as prime minister of Japan from 2006 to 2007 and again from 2012 to 2020, before stepping down due to health issues.
