Actress Ruffa Gutierrez received these comments from fellow celebrities when she shared her photo as former First Lady Imelda Marcos.

After the elections, director-writer Darryl Yap shared that he was pitching a movie to Viva Films which will tackle the last 72 hours of the Marcoses in Malacanang. Basically, the story will revolve around the emotions and the side of the story of the Marcos family before they were forced to leave the Palace.

The role of the Marcos matriarch was given to Ruffa and the actress has previously expressed excitement about this. In recent social media posts of Direk Darryl, he shared the behind-the-scenes photos of their shoot.

Ruffa Gutierrez also shared a glimpse of her look as Imelda Marcos. The actress shared her photo showcasing her character in the movie and several celebrities expressed excitement.

Her brothers Richard and Mond Gutierrez said that they can’t wait to see this. Mond also said that the hair and every aspect of her sister’s look is on point. Ruffa’s sister-in-law Sarah Lahbati is also excited to watch the movie.

Meanwhile, in a recent interview, Direk Darryl Yap shared that Maid In Malacanang was the “amalgamation” of his conversations with Senator Imee Marcos for the past four months.

During the campaign season, while Direk Darryl was doing satire videos with Sen. Imee, he had the chance to ask the lawmaker about their family. Through that question and answer session, he was able to create the story that would tell the other side of the story.
