Princess Punzalan had a very tough teenage life
Popular “kontrabida” actress Princess Punzalan made a shocking revelation about her dark past through her recent Instagram post.
Princess has been in the industry for many decades now and she is known for portraying antagonist roles that would always give the “bida” a hard time. Her acting prowess has become an inspiration to younger actresses, especially those who also want to portray “kontrabida” roles.
It appeared that the life of Princess behind the camera is as colorful as her characters in movies and telesryes. In one of her recent Instagram videos, the seasoned actress revealed that during her teenage years, she lost her baby and it was intentional.
“When I was 15, I got pregnant. I had an ab*rtion because I was afraid of my mom and because the guy would not stand up for the baby,” Princess Punzalan revealed.
Then, she said that at the age of 19, she found a guy who was willing to marry her but for four years of being together, they weren’t able to have their own baby until their marriage ended.
Princess was emotional upon recalling this moment in her life. However, there was a glimmer of hope in her face when she talked about her husband Jay Field. “And in my mid-30s, I found a man who would marry me and love me. We tried for 10 years to get pregnant [but] I didn’t get pregnant. We tried different kinds of ways to get pregnant, [but] I didn’t,” the seasoned actress shared.
After 10 years of being together, Princess and Jay decided to adopt a baby. She said that it was a long process before they found their match. “I’m so grateful that the birth mom didn’t decide to kill her ’cause right now I’m so happy with my daughter and I’m very grateful that she is in my life,” Princess Punzalan said. The seasoned actress said that it was worth the wait and she is enjoying her role as a mother to Ellie.
