Chito Miranda Asserts Band’s Success Doesn’t Depend on Vocalist Only

Chito Miranda shared an article about a PNE hit song

Parokya ni Edgar frontman Chito Miranda asserted that the success of a band does not depend on the vocalist only.

PNE has been in the music industry since 1993. After almost three decades of being together, they are still making music and their songs years ago are still being remembered by many.

Just recently, the band reached the 100 million plays on streaming platform Spotify for their song Your Song. The song was often referred to as “One and Only You,” based on the article in the Philippine Star.

Many might wonder why this song sounded different from the rest of PNE songs. It is because the band’s guitarist Gab Chee Kee sang this song. He also wrote this. Your Song is part of the band’s album Bigotilyo that was released in 2003 but it was never released as a single.

Because of the song’s popularity, Parokya Ni Edgar decided to include this in their 2012 live album “Inuman Sessions Vol. 2.” With the recent achievement of Your Song, Chito Miranda proudly shared a post about this on Instagram.

He said that this is the song of Gab. “Parokya’s greatest hit of all time is an unreleased bonus track written and sung by our guitarist, Gabriel Chee Kee,” the band’s frontman said. Then, Chito shared a striking stamen about the success of a band.

“Hindi talaga nakasalalay ang kalakasan ng banda sa bokalista lamang” he said. This post of the band vocalist garnered admiration from many netizens. TV host Gretchen Ho even said that she loves how Chito Miranda honor his bandmates. Some netizens shared their fondest memories with Your Song.
