Liza Soberano Speaks About Decision Not To Renew Contract w/ Ogie Diaz

This is how Liza Soberano said goodbye to Ogie Diaz

Actress Liza Soberano has finally spoken about her decision not to renew her contract with her former talent manager Ogie Diaz.

Liza’s career in showbiz bloomed under Ogie’s co-managing technique with ABS-CBN and Star Magic. However, last month, the comedian-talent manager revealed that Liza is no longer under his management as she is already being managed by James Reid and his business partner.

Ogie said that it has been a dream of the actress to pursue a career in Hollywood and she is starting the first step to reach that goal.

In a recent interview, based on the article in PEP, Liza Soberano said since December last year, she has already expressed her desire not to renew her contract with Ogie Diaz. “Because we’ve been working together for eleven years now and I told him, at this point, I kinda wanted to feel a little bit more of independence,” the actress said.

She also stressed that he left Ogie not because he is not a good manager but because she wants to experience working with other people. “He was really an amazing manager. I achieved so much on my career because of him,” Liza added.

The actress admitted that it was not easy for her to leave her manager for 11 years. It is because Ogie helped her have the opportunity she needed for her career. Liza also said that she will forever be grateful to the talent manager.

Letting Ogie know about her decision was an emotional experience for Liza. At that time, she was in the States and she had to message her former manager. “It was something going on in my mind and it was bothering me, I was worried about how he would take it,” she explained.

On the other hand, Liza Soberano is happy that Ogie Diaz is a very generous man and he was very understanding about her next goal.
