Hit-and-Run Victim Christian Floralde Forgives SUV Driver But to Pursue Charges

The viral hit-and-run victim Christian Floralde has finally accepted the apology of the SUV driver but to pursue a complaint.

The security guard Christian Joseph Floralde has accepted the apology of the SUV driver who ran over him during a hit-and-run incident in Mandaluyong City despite suffering from pain and trauma.

Floralde narrated that the suspect Jose Antonio San Vicente has issued an apology to his family and relatives. However, he will still pursue a complaint against the suspect.

“Tinatanggap ko ‘yung pag-sorry niya, paghingi niya ng tawad sa akin, sa mga kamag-anak ko, sa pamilya ko. Pero ‘yung kaso, nandon pa rin ‘yung kaso. Tuloy pa rin ‘yung kaso,” Floralde said.

Initially, the guard thought that he would die after ran over by SUV. He would sue the suspect to make him pay for the consequence of his action. He also wants to receive justice.

“Paano kung namatay ako, paano ‘yung pamilya ko? Paano kung walang dash cam na video tapos namatay ako? Sino masisi, sino hahabulin? Itutuloy-tuloy namin hanggang sa makamit namin ‘yung hustisya na nararapat po sa akin,” Floralde added.

The victim has also recounted his experience during the incident. He thought that the driver would stop to check him but the suspect ran over him. He felt fain in his body and blood came out of his mouth.

Sanvicente will face charges of frustrated murder and abandonment of one’s own victim. His driver’s license has been also revoked by the Land Transportation Office.
